Lighthouse Baptist Church has ministries and activities for the entire family. With ministries for infants, children, teens, and adults, you're sure to find that there is something in which you can be involved. Children's Programme
Children enjoy each and every Sunday! Kids who are older than creche age start the service with the adults before being dismissed to age-specific classes. Each week, the children start the service with the adults before heading off to enjoy a class with a lesson and activities just for them! Your child will love their experience!
Ages: 3-11 years
Ladies' Ministry
We love our ladies at Lighthouse! Ladies ministry includes multiple get-togethers and activities throughout the year, plus a retreat down to Ashburton every March. If you are a lady in need of some good friendship or Biblical help, please feel free to reach out to us!
Chinese Ministry
We are so thankful for the wonderful Chinese people whom God has brought to our church. Currently, our Chinese believers participate in their very own Growth Group during our Friday Night Growth Groups, and worship services on Sunday are translated. We welcome any and all Chinese visitors who would like to learn more!
Baby Creche
Staffed by loving members of our church family, the infant creche is offered at every Sunday service. Babies will be lovingly cared for while you enjoying the singing and preaching in the adult service. Should your baby need you specific attention, creche workers will come and get you! Rest assured your baby is in good hands!
Ages: Newborn - 2 years
Teen Ministry
We have a great group of teens who regularly attend Lighthouse! Teens enjoy a weekly Growth Group on Friday, along with an activity time beforehand. Additionally, our teens participate in regular activities, and an annual trip into the mountains for youth camp with other South Island churches.
Men's Ministry
The men of Lighthouse are godly men who desire to love and lead their families according to the Word of God. To sharpen and strengthen one another, we gather for Men's Prayer Breakfasts every so often. For men who are seeking good friendships, Lighthouse is the place!
